The use of industrial alumina powder and pure clay, bauxite or silica as raw materials for the synthesis of pure mullite raw materials, especially the content of alkali metal oxides should be as low as possible, to mullite as aggregate of the products made of good thermal shock resistance, but the erosion resistance is slightly worse, to corundum sand as aggregate products, good corrosion resistance. It has good high temperature strength, high temperature creep resistance, thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance.
